It is gold tone which looks gold plated as there is some wear in places, specifically around the shank.\u003cbr\u003eIt has a winder on the side and has a secret compartment that when opened reveals a watch face. T\u003cbr\u003ehis is a vintage hand winding watch and the winder works and the watch is ticking away nicely, I have checked it for several hours and it seems to be keeping time well too. The watch-face says 'Bvler 17 Jewels antimagnetic swiss made' and has two small gold hands. There are no other obvious markers marks on the watch, not that I can see. T\u003cbr\u003ehis is such a wonderful decorative and functional piece and I have not seen another one like it. I'm assuming it is from around the 1950s.\u003cbr\u003eThe front of the watch opens and closes nicely and the hinge is solid.
