Antique 9ct GOLD LOCKET NECKLACE with Enamelled pattern & 18' Chain - 8.3g

This is a lovely piece of history. An antique locket.
The locket has a sweet dark blue/black enamelled heart design on the front.
It is very intricate with a detailed engraving on the front and a different design with an empty cartouche on the back. 
Inside there are the original glass panels, with a photo on one side. I havent removed the glass to clean it for fear of damaging the glass. 
There are no obvious makers marks which is not unusual for Victorian mourning pieces of jewellery but it has been carefully tested to be 9ct gold on the front and the  back. However, the bale does not appear to be gold nor do the internal rims, likely to be brass for strength. 
It is in wonderful condition considering its age although there is a tiny bit of discolouration to the blue whereby it appears darker in places. And comes suspended on an 18" gold chain which is marked 375 (for 9ct gold).

The chain is very delicate and I added it so it can be worn straight away but it could do with a thicket chain.
