This is a beautiful Victorian brooch with a carved circular design.
Although it is often difficult to distinguish between black materials used in Victorian jewellery, I believe this to be a vulcanite/ gutta percha brooch.
This brooch is approximately mid Victorian era and in good condition for its age with just discolouration marks to the back but overall in good condition.
