This is a large vintage Celtic brooch. It is a very good size with an intricate Celtic Cross design with a Celtic infinity knot around the border edge.
Some of the engraved design has worn over time but this just adds to the authenticity of the piece which dates to around 1946.
It has full hallmarks for sterling silver on the back including the makers initials for Henderson and Horner Bros and assay marks for Glasgow c 1946.
It is a nice heavy weight at approx 23.4g and would make a great piece for a shawl, scarf or coat.
