This is a lovely penannular brooch by Robert Allison.
It has nice detailed Celtic design all the way around and a cross pin with the top also brandishing a Celtic knot.
The design is a traditional shawl scarf pin. It is fully hallmarked for sterling silver on the reverse including RA (for Robert Allison) and hallmarks for Glasgow circa 1952. This is a stunning example from Robert Allison, but please check the photos for more details.
