This is a stunning brooch / Scarf Clip circa 1940s and very similar to James Critchon design brooches.
This brooch is cast in sterling silver and is a stunning penannular design.
There is a pin on the back so it can be securely attached to a scarf, shawl, kilt or anything else. It has a Celtic knot design around the bottom and the pin (which doesn't move) has a mini detailed stags head at the top at the top. This is so amazing and unusual.
It is simply marked on the back with silver, I cannot see any obvious makers marks. It is a good size and weight at 11.5g. Please take a look at the photos for more details, thanks.
