This is a lovely gold traditional Celtic Claddagh ring.
While Claddagh rings are sometimes given as friendship rings, they are also commonly used as engagement and wedding rings.

It is fully Hallmarked for 9ct gold including the makers initials MJ and 375 (for 9ct gold).
