This is a stunning and rare find, a vintage Georg Jensen 9ct Gold locket and chain. Since 1904, when his first workshop opened in Copenhagen, Georg Jensen has been creating timeless Scandinavian designs that exude elegance with a unique combination of craftsmanship, functionality and artistic aesthetics.
This locket is a very good size and a decent weight. It is a large circular shape with wonderful geometric spiral design.
The back is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold including the makers mark - This says 'GJ Ld' with 9.375 (for 9ct gold) as well as a London assay marks for circa 1969.
The locket opens and shuts nice and securely and inside there is rich green velvet inserts
. It comes suspended on a delicate 20" gold chain marked for 9ct gold. Please note this is a vintage piece so please check the photos for more details.
