✯ Mourning locket with Real Braided Hair ✯
This is a stunning piece of history. A large antique mourning locket with braided hair art still inside.
The locket has a clear glass front and has a section of beautifully braided hair inside. Toward the top of the glass there is a small lip that can open the locket up.
It does not have any obvious makers marks, but this is not unusual for Victorian mourning jewellery. The case has been tested to be rolled gold on the back, and sides.
It is a good size and weight at 12.7g and in wonderful condition considering its age.
It will come suspended on a piece of grosgrain ribbon ready to wear or display. Please carefully check the photos for more details, thanks.
