Antique 9ct Gold Photo Locket Pendant - Chester 1908 on 16" Chain - 4.5g

This is a wonderful open photo locket pendant. I
t is double sided with glass covering to both sides. Under the glass there is an old sepia photo of an infant and on the other side looks to be a lock of hair.
Both sides can easily be replaced by unscrewing the bale at the top and carefully replacing.
The gold casing is 9ct gold and has full hallmarks for Chester including the makers initials D &Co and 9.375 (for 9ct gold) circa 1908
Often these photo fobs were mourning pieces and particularly significant with the photo insert and lock of hair that I left untouched for the new owner to decide.
This comes suspended on a 9ct gold chain measuring approximately 16".
These pieces are becoming rarer and especially in good condition.
