This is a lovely antique locket pendant.
It is a nice smooth rectangular shape with a delicate engraved design on the front. It is a soft rose gold colour which appears to be a gilt or pinchbeck metal.
Inside there are deep red velvet inserts and it comes suspended on a more modern 18" gold plated chain necklace.
There are no obvious makers marks and some of the gold has rubbed in places with wear consistent with its age.
