This is a wonderful antique brooch.
It is a beautiful oval boat shape with a rose gold front and a central clear paste stone. I assume the stone is a paste stone which was commonly used during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
The front tests as 9ct gold although there are no obvious hallmarks there is a makers marks that looks to read BRS on the back.
The back is metal with a typical c clasp.
