This is a beautiful antique locket. It is a shiny Whitby jet enamel locket with a small 9ct gold embellishment on the front with a small star made up of tiny seed pearl. Inside there are the original glass panels with decorative hair art beneath either side.
A stunning example of a victorian mourning locket. These have been left untouched and are original to the locket.
There is some old repairs that can be seen on the bottom of the inside, specifically on the bottom left as well as on the bottom back of the locket. But it does not effect or detract from this piece.
The locket opens and closes securely and is suspended on a more vintage 20" sterling silver chain which has some oxidisation so fits in with the overall look.
