This is a stunning vintage 1960s sterling silver watch...a beautiful cocktail watch and in good working order.
The face features roman numeral quarterly numbers and black hands, including a seconds hand along with the makers name 'Chateau'.
The lens has has a clean and the bezel is encrusted with marcasite stones. The front opens like a secret locket to reveal a small watch face.
The watch strap is a light grey blue double bead bracelet and has decorative silver spacers all the way along. The back of the watch face is hallmarked for sterling silver including the makers initials HI&S and full hallmarks for imported sterling silver that look to have a date mark circa 1960s.
There are also marks for silver on the end clasp. A very elegant, classy, wristwatch. it’s in great working condition and has been tested for several hours keeping good time (service history unknown).
