This is a stunning Sterling Silver ring by Georg Jensen.
Since 1904, when his first workshop opened in Copenhagen, Georg Jensen has been creating timeless Scandinavian designs that exude elegance with a unique combination of craftsmanship, functionality and artistic aesthetics.

This is a vintage Georg Jensen silver and hematite ring consisting of a large oval highly polished hematite cabochon. It is set in a elegant double rim bezel. It was designed by Harald Nielsen in the 1920's and is a simple and stylish piece that could be worn by a man or a woman.

This ring is in very good used condition with no dents or scratches. It is marked with the post-1945 dotted oval for Georg Jensen,  925S Denmark and the Copenhagen Design number 46A.

Harald Nielsen (1892-1977) was Georg Jensen's brother-in-law. He started as an apprentice in 1909 and worked his way up in the company to artistic director from 1958-62. He interpreted Jensen's and Rohde's designs into precise drawings for the silversmiths to work from. Following Georg Jensen’s death in 1935, Nielsen continued the high quality work for which the Georg Jensen company is famous. Nielsen also designed many pieces of jewellery and hollow-ware.

It is approximately a UK size N and a half (equivalent to US size 7) but please check the photo of the ring on the ring sizer for more accurate measurements, thanks.
