This is a large vintage keepsake locket and chain by the famous silversmith Georg Jensen. Since 1904, when his first workshop opened in Copenhagen, Georg Jensen has been creating timeless Scandinavian designs that exude elegance with a unique combination of craftsmanship, functionality and artistic aesthetics.
This locket is a very very large oval shape with wonderful decorative seven flower design. It has a plain check back with full hallmarks including the makers mark - This says GJ Ld and London assay marks circa 1973 .
Inside it has navy blue velvet inserts and is ready for photos or a keepsake. It comes suspended on a more modern 20" sterling silver chain necklace.
