This is a good sized vintage keepsake locket by the famous silversmith Georg Jensen. Since 1904, when his first workshop opened in Copenhagen, Georg Jensen has been creating timeless Scandinavian designs that exude elegance with a unique combination of craftsmanship, functionality and artistic aesthetics.
This locket is a good sized oval shape with lovely scrolling fauna engraving on the front.
It is marked on the back with 'Silver GJ Ltd', but this has faded but just still visible. Inside there are blue inserts and is ready for photos or a keepsake.
It comes suspended on a more modern 18" sterling silver chain.
