This is a very pretty large vintage brooch.
It is a five pointed star, sometimes known as the Christmas star or the Bethlehem star.
It is wonderfully carved from mother of pearl and set in a sterling silver surround which has oxidised over the years. It still looks lovely and would make a lovely gift.
