This is a beautiful and unusual silver Brooch. I have not seen another brooch like this. I love it! It has miniature figures of three monkeys. One has its mouth covered, the second has his ears covered and the third has his eyes covered. "Speak no evil, hear no evil and see no evil".
It has a vibrant oval amethyst stone in the centre. And it is marked on the back 'silver' and 'R 763308' . It is such a gorgeous brooch I am tempted to keep it :)
I believe it to be from the Victorian era, it certainly has the curios Victorian feel.
