This is a stunning large silver locket. It is an oval shape with a wonderful aesthetic songbird design engraved on the front. The back is plain silver and it has full readable hallmarks for sterling silver including the makers mark HW for Horace Woodward and assayed for Birmingham circa 1879.
Inside there is a deep blue velvet inserts and it shuts nice and securely. It comes suspended on a 22" sterling silver chain.
This is a very old antique piece and is in wonderful condition but please see photos for more details, thanks.
